Thoughtfully designed to embrace its surroundings, the home features expansive glass and a signature 20-foot bi-fold opening that blurs the line between indoors and out, revealing 360° sight lines that frame the landscape like living art.

    Unlike most U.S. mattresses treated with chemical fire retardants, every mattress at Hikari House is responsibly certified organic and paired with eco-friendly bamboo linens that are exceptionally comfortable, an experience that supports cleaner, more restorative sleep, and something your body will deeply appreciate.

  • Gather under the desert sky in our outdoor conversation pit, centered around a fire pit for warmth and good company. Where the glow, the stars, and the quiet Joshua Tree air turn simple moments into the ones you’ll replay long after you leave.

  • The kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with a Gaggenau refrigerator and freezer, state of the art Bosch 500 & 800 Series appliances, including a convection oven, induction island cooktop with recessed stainless steel island downdraft ventilation, and dishwasher. Stocked with a Beast blender, non-toxic Goop ceramic cookware, designer brand dinnerware, titanium eating utensils, Caraway kitchen accessories and storage, + more.

    Just off the kitchen, you will also find a vintage, custom-made 1970s bar, fully set up for hosting, with cocktail glassware, wine glasses, champagne bucket, and more for stylish aperitifs, sunset pours, and celebratory toasts.

  • High-fidelity, low-effort. Sonos delivers rich, balanced sound that feels polished at any volume, from soft ambient mornings to late-night favorites.

  • For those who like to wind down with a movie or cook to one of their favorite shows. Don’t worry, Hikari House has you covered with a 65in Samsung Frame TV and popular streaming apps including Apple TV, Disney +, HBO MAX, Disney +, and Netflix.

  • Hikari House is equipped with a brand-new LG washer/dryer tower. Guests are welcome to use it during the day for fresh, easy laundry care. As we operate off-grid, we kindly ask that laundry not be run at night to help conserve energy and support the home’s backup battery system.

  • To turn on heated bathroom floors, simply press on the up and down arrow buttons to set your desired temperature. Please set back to base level of 70° after use.

  • Relax into our custom vegan leather swings with scenic views of Joshua Tree National Park
    and its ancient boulders.

  • Hikari House features a 4 stage water filtration system that removes heavy metals, algae, lead, microorganisms, organic chemicals, and many more substances, as well as a double sediment filter and UV light to kill 99.9% of bacteria.

  • Our solar-powered automatic pool cover is easy to use: just flip the double-sided magnet to “Open” or “Close” and hold it to the wall mount to operate the cover.

  • Hikari House is supported by a home backup generator system that safeguards our off-grid setup. In the event of a power interruption, it automatically helps keep essential systems running, so your stay stays seamless, comfortable, and worry-free.

  • Hikari House is equipped with safety essentials, including a code-compliant ceiling fire sprinkler system, smoke + carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher for emergency use, and a first-aid kit.

    For added peace of mind, there are five exterior security cameras positioned around the perimeter of the property to help protect guests and the home from unwanted intruders.
